The charm of My Lowertown

This joyful ride along Heney Street, on the north side of Macdonald Gardens Park, was filmed on January 31st, 2015, by Lowertown resident Amber Clarke.

The horses and carriage are from Cundell Stables, located at 118 York Street. The current owner, John Cundell, is the third generation of the Cundell family to operate the stables, which are over 115 years old. They are the last private stables in the city's core. 
In addition to private bookings, Cundell Stables also offers horse-drawn carriage rides to residents and tourists in the ByWard Market.

The winter of 2014-2015 may be one of the coldest in recent memory, but it hasn't stopped us from having fun.
