Lowertown Community Association | Association Communautaire de la Basse-Ville
Now in its fourth decade, the Lowertown Community Association (LCA) is a volunteer-led group of local citizens who are eager to make a difference in the community.
The LCA is tasked with matters of neighbourhood concern, in particular: physical planning, heritage character, environmental and transportation issues, and, cultural and recreational activities. We provide a voice for the community as a whole. Membership is offered at no charge to all residents of Lowertown. If you just moved to Lowertown, becoming involved with the community association will help you to meet people, learn the history of your neighbourhood, find out what's happening in the area, and learn about about local issues. Begin by subscribing to our email bulletins (especially for information on upcoming meetings), or following us on social media. Whether you're a new or long-time resident, consider volunteering some time to the association. You can contribute in so many ways, from gardening in the parks, to writing for the community newspaper, to serving on the board. The range of volunteer opportunities is so broad that you're sure to find something that's well aligned with your skills, talents and time available. We welcome everyone! |
