Community Safety

  1. The committee monitors data and provides research on key issues affecting public safety in Lowertown. 
  2. It lobbies and works with the Councillor, City staff, Ottawa Police Services, By-Law Services, social service agencies, businesses for crime prevention and harm reduction. 
  3. It appears before the Police Services Board to represent the interest of the community on key public safety issues such as our interest in reliable crime statistics.”
  4. It works  with community members to identify problems and propose measures to improve safety  for all residents in the community
