What does it mean when we talk about a "heritage house". We know it means "old-fashioned", but how can we SEE that ?
Would you like to know a fair bit about heritage houses after just one walk around the block ? Join us on June 4th at Bingham park for our Kids' Heritage Walk and we will bring your attention to: the shapes of the house, the detailing, and the materials used. We will also chat about some reasons why houses have changed, and will see how some modern homes are bringing some of heritage looks back!
This fun and interactive walk for children and adults, will take place at 10 am and 4 pm, we will start at Bingham Park, go down Cathcart street, left at Cathcart Square, down Bolton street and back to start.
PSST! If kids "check off" some of the features on the visual list, they get a surprise at the end !
