The LCA, with support from the Royal Bank of Canada and the Chance Foundation, is hosting a gardening event in Bingham Park, at the corner of Dalhousie and Cathcart streets. Please join us to help weed and prune the gardens, and please also bring any perennials that you would like to exchange with neighbours.
The Bingham Park gardens were landscaped last summer with financial and logistical support from the Royal Bank of Canada and the Chance Foundation. These are community gardens and are not maintained by the City of Ottawa. Please help us keep Bingham Park beautiful. The third annual Bordeleau Park cleanup will take place in the morning of Saturday, May 9th.
Residents in the River Wedge and other parts of Lowertown will join with Causeway workers and Magmic employees to collect garbage and to assess any needs for park maintenance. Causeway workers will be invited in order to collect items related to drug use. Magmic, a mobile social games and entertainment company located on York Street, is a city-recognized Friend of Bordeleau. Causeway is a not-for-profit agency that empowers and supports people in overcoming disabilities and other challenges to help them find rewarding work and live more independently.
