Who we are and what we do

Formed in the mid-1970s, the Lowertown Community Association meets each month to discuss issues of importance to the community.

The association reviews development applications, monitors environmental concerns and provides a voice for the community as a whole. It also collaborates closely with the King Edward Community Task Force and works with the ByWard Market Business Improvement Area (BIA) on issues common to both the residential and business community.

The association meets on the second Monday of every month (except July and August) in the Routhier Community Centre at 172 Guigues Avenue. We welcome the participation of new members from Lowertown and neighbouring communities, and encourage you to bring your energy, ideas and concerns to our next meeting.

If you have any questions, or would like to be added to our distribution list, please contact us at the email address at the bottom of the page.
